What a great article! I feel like I spent years battling my ego and it never got me anywhere. Looking at the ego as a roommate really helps to shift that dynamic.
I love to hear this, Sylvia. We're really not taught how to befriend the different parts of ourselves. We're somehow expected to control them instead, which, in my life at least, usually makes them even more disruptive! I've found I really enjoy my inner roommate with her neurotic tendencies and quirky opinions. She's sweet and sometimes silly, but can be a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy yours as well!
