Oh I love your Gammie! Let's just speak it as it is! So true, you can't do everything so choose! Great advice. Which I do my best to follow. The times I get hung up is when I opt for something that is a "should" or "suppose to" rather than a true need, want or desire. How I choose is critical. Loved all your "secrets", nurturing myself is huge, taking care. Its that oxygen mask priority. Put it on yourself first then help others.
No matter how many times I recognize that “should” is really a dirty word, it always comes creeping back in. Amazing to think how deeply we are programmed!
Beautiful! And so perfectly timely for me. Just this morning I sent an email to renegotiate a commitment. I was feeling all kinds of bad about it (even though I knew I was honoring myself by renegotiating), and then your post reminded me that it really does tend to be the experience that when one person isn't "feeling it" the other parties probably aren't either. Thanks for all of this! 🤗❤️
I love when the timing aligns like that. Working with a lot of people in my life who are also committed to honoring their timing, we’ve definitely found that when one person’s not feeling it, the other person is usually relieved to have it moved. Great job taking care of yourself, Jenna! 👏
I enjoyed this read. Overwhelm is a serious issue for me these days, as I know it is for many people. Flow is crucial, and the human design chart is very interesting. Thank you for sharing, Allysha.
Awesome to hear that this was helpful for you, Gustave! Human Design has definitely made a huge difference for me around overwhelm. Have you learned your design yet?
I love this! I’ve been looking for balance this year but you are so right, it’s not balance- it’s a moment to moment flow we are all looking for. Especially mamas as we do so much! 🤍
Yes, exactly! We're taught to try to balance things, but I always get the image of Cinderella balancing the tea tray on her head while she grabs the laundry. It's not exactly an ideal to strive for. I love to work with the flowing Mother as an archetype--the one who happens to always be in the right place at the right time because she's dancing through life.
Love these Allysha and very apt as I have experienced a lot of overwhelm of late. My impatience at not being able doing everything at once, because there is divine work going on in the background. I'm creating time to make things happen, then pottering around the garden instead. It seems to work, even if it's only for a short time!
I find myself often frustrated with how long everything takes here in the world of matter. When you spend a lot of time working in the invisible, it seems unfair sometimes to have to keep up with the physical as well! Good luck finding your flow this season
I really like the 'renegotiate' idea! (#4). It's getting to it at the appropriate time. Thanks so much for this great listing of Secrets to Beat Overwhelm.
Yes! Re-making agreements is absolutely clutch for staying in integrity. I sometimes feel like setting appointments is a little like guessing when something will work in the future. Sometimes we get it wrong, and trying to keep the appointment will throw everything else off. Knowing that we can stay in integrity by simply communicating is huge for staying in alignment with yourself!
So glad to hear that you enjoyed this post, Melissa!

Putting flowing mother archetype on my wish list! 🤍

You are very welcome. (That's why I use a pencil w/ eraser instead of ink pen for my scheduler. lol.)
