Why I've Been Silent + July Calendar of Magical Events
It's NOT writer's block... just the elegant irony of the Universe creating an ongoing season of deeply-lived transformation. Plus, info on upcoming Magical Events for our community of Heretics.
I don't believe in writer’s block. Yet sometimes, I’m living too deeply to be called to write.
My feet in the soil, my hands in the sky, my heart ripped wide by one turning of the Earth or another… there’s no room for words. Only experience.
In these times, I prefer to feel fully deeply, madly, wholly, and completely, so that one day I might return to the page with a story to tell. A story fully lived.
In these times of transformation, I often go silent.
For those of you keeping track, I returned from France nearly a month ago now. I had planned—expected even—to sit down after my wild adventures and write about all that had transpired.
But this season of transformation wasn’t finished with me.
No sooner had I settled back into my space and opened the doors to summer fun but that I got news of a dear friend passing.
Samantha was standing in her kitchen holding her four month-old, when her heart stopped. The last thing she did in this life was to cradle the baby as she fell so that the little one rolled lightly onto the kitchen floor.
The news wasn’t a surprise—it was a shock. A blow that dropped me to my knees as it sent waves of chaos ripping through my community.
Of course, in the elegant irony of universal coordination, I had houseguests at the time.
My in-laws had come to stay, along with my husband’s darling aunt from England. They arrived at almost the precise moment Sam dropped dead in her kitchen across town (unbeknownst to me until the next morning).… and they left twenty minutes before I headed to her funeral. If that isn’t Divine orchestration, I don’t know what is.
The ten days in between were a blur of meals made and coordinated, stolen moments alone when I just couldn’t play the hostess anymore, and more stiff upper lips than I’ve ever tried on in my life. (They don’t really come in my size.) 😉
Yesterday was my first day alone after all the chaos subsided, and, unable to muster the energy to tidy my house or even to cry, I laid down for a long time.
Today—after what feels like an eternity—I’m here with several (long-overdue) announcements for my magical community of Heretics.

What’s Next…
Settling in after a truly amazing trip to France, I am looking forward to diving deeper into my next novel—The Martyr—sequel to The Heretic. The research I had the opportunity to do during my travels was phenomenal… more than I ever could’ve hoped, and I can feel the book coming together already in the invisible realms. Now, I have only to set pen to page and allow myself to bring through what is waiting.
In the midst of everything, I am still doing 1:1 work and will continue to prioritize my students throughout this wild summer.
I’ll soon be opening a few spots in my Energy Magic Coaching and Magical Mentorship programs for anyone interested in learning to train your magic more deeply, to flow energy in a way that is correct for you in this life, and to speak the language and hear the secrets of the vast, invisible world all around us.
My gift is translating from Spirit unique lessons for you and bringing through practices that allow you to train in magic the same way that students train in karate, ballet, or any other scientific art which brings together heart, body, and mind.

Community Energy Magic
Friday, July 11 @ 11am PDT / 2pm EDT / 8pm CEST / 4am AEST (+1 Day)
Energy Magic is a Divinely-guided transmission where you’ll be invited to learn techniques to support your energy body, the same way healthy food and exercise support your physical body.
Working with your Team and the Divine, you’ll learn how your energy is designed to flow and how to differentiate your energy from the energies around you that may be invading your body and space.
This is a powerful practice and a healthy habit that opens your energy field to optimal flow, Divine connection, and deep magic.

Releasing old patterns and outdated frequencies that are no longer serving your Highest Good
Creating healthy energetic boundaries so that you don’t take on things that are not yours.

Bring your favorite brew for an hour of magical inspiration with kindred souls in a safe-to-be-yourself space. These conversations are not only powerful and thought-provoking, they open new spaces of Magic and possibility for all who participate.
Heretic Reading Circle
We’re changing the formatting of our Reading Circle just a little bit—instead of reading one book every month, we’re embracing a more fluid and natural pace for our gatherings.
We’ll be selecting books as we feel called to new titles and allowing more time and space for longer, denser magical tomes. The idea here is to really allow our magical curriculum to be Divinely-guided, working with members of the Heretic Reading Circle for book suggestions and feeling into the space to see what’s next for us.
We hope that this will create an even deeper, more collaborative reading experience.

, an amazing writer and magical explorer who also happens to have a powerful presence here on Substack.
I recently felt called to pick up this book, and it has been nothing short of life-changing!
The synchronicities and practices that have a risen since engaging with this title have literally opened me to a world beyond the one I was living in before (and I was already pretty deeply involved with the Beyond!). I hope to invite all of you to explore this wider way of being and so look forward to sharing it with you.
